Z rodiny přežila a vrátila se pouze jeho maminka Marta. Po návratu ještě nějaký čas dojížděla do Kralup do zaměstnání, avšak neunesla tragedii své rodiny a osamění a otrávila se". Potvrdil mně to i pan Eliáš dopisem ze 17.3. 2010, se kterým jsem i nadále v písemném styku. Napsal: "Vláďu Beneše jsem dobře znal. Setkal jsme se po osvobození i s jeho maminkou, paní Martou. Vím i to, že neunesla tíhu marného čekání".
