5 Jan 1998: “Jim W. Tackitt, Pres./Editor” said: “Elder AMBROSE JONES, by the way, was married by Elder John Alderson in 1784 - the same Baptist minister that performed the marriage for my ancestors, NIMROD TACKITT & ANNA HOWARD in 1787.”

1778: Ambrose was with Washington at Valley Forge during the winter of 1778. Ambrose was one of early Baptist preachers ordained in 1811 and a member of South Fork Baptist Church at Malone, KY.

1817: Ambrose was exempt from further taxes.
