

Martha Macon Jones was buried at the Macon burial ground, Macon Island, Virginia. In 1906 her remains were removed to the chancel at Bruton Parish church, Williamsburg to preserve ithe stone. Martha and Orlando Jones were Martha Washington's maternal grandparents.
The lower part of the stone is illegible. It was brought from New Kent and put in the church to preserve it. Martha and Orlando Jones were Martha Washington's maternal grandparents.

She was born about 1683, and would have died before the 2nd daughter named Martha was born in 1687.
