Carmen and Martha died within 30 minutes of each other. They are buried in the northwest corner of Dry Creek Cemetery with a new single headstone for both.
Carmen Myers and Martha Ann Purvis Myers are buried in two coffins together in a single box in the Dry Creek Cemetery in Rankin County. He died of pneumonia and she had always prayed that she would not outlive him. When he quit breathing, she went upstairs and when they found her 30 minutes later she was dead of congestion of the brain.
