About Martha J. Roach
By this time WSP had also been courting Athol Estes (1868-1897), the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. P. G. Roach. Mrs. Roach strongly objected to the relationship since Athol’s father had died from tuberculosis as had WSP's mother.
