About Martha Schrafft
"Schrafft, Martha (née Garmonsway), 1852-1930 Born at sea on board the Inchinnan on 26 January 1852. Martha once sung a duet with Gustavus Ferdinand von Tempsky (1828-1868). She married Charles Frederick Schrafft (1846-1930) on 27 April 1871. Charles had served during the New Zealand Wars and had a brother who founded the Schrafft Candy Company (1861-1981). Martha died in Auckland Hospital at the age of 45, on 13 December 1930. She was buried in Waikumete Cemetery."
