About Marutha Menuhin
Marutha Menuhin emigrated to America from Russia (today Belarus). She was the wife of Moshe Menuhin, a former rabbinical student and anti-Zionist writer. Menuhin was descended from a distinguished rabbinical dynasty. Marutha has been described as "dominant and controlling". The Menuhins had three very gifted children: The famous violinist, Lord Menuhin (Yehudi Menuhin), the concert pianist and human rights worker Hephzibah Menuhin and the pianist, painter, and poet Yaltah Menuhin.
