Mary Ann Rushing was born on Nov. 15, 1824 in Tattnall County, Georgia, daughter of William Grayson & Mary (Britt) Rushing.

On Oct. 4, 1840, Mary married Charles Ulmer Zetterower. On Sept. 9, 1849, she married William Chelton Anderson. Their Anderson children include James Henry (1852), Margaret (1856), William M (1859), Sarah Virginia (1863), Ida B. (1865) and Emit Morton (1867) Anderson.

On Jan. 17, 1903, Mary A. (Rushing) Anderson, age 79, passed away in Bulloch County with burial along side her husband, William, in the Anderson Cemetery, Bulloch County, Georgia.
