The burial of Mrs. Mary Anthony, a daughter-in-law of the late G. Newton, occurred in the Burlingame Cemetery Saturday noon, Rev. W.O. Davis conducting the service at the grave. The deceased was a resident of Kansas City, where here death occurred August 26. Mary R. Vandover was born March 24, 1873 and died at her home in Kansas City, Mo.

Her early life was spent in Ellsworth, Kansas, where she grew to womanhood. She was married at Ellsworth to H.E. Newton, Jan. 1, 1890. Of five children born to this union two survive: Mrs. Eva Flora and Mrs. Joe Fritz, of Kansas City. Some years later she was married to Mr. Anthony at Atchison. Besides her husband and two children, she leaves to mourn her death, her mother, Mrs. Martha Witwer, of Ness City, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Grimes and Mrs. Grace Osboune, of Atchison; three brothers, Doss Vandover of St. Joseph, Mo., Arthur of Atchison, an Boyd of Ness City, also one little grandson, Risdon Anthony of Kansas City. Note: Mary Rebecca Vandover's parents were John and Martha Vandover. She was born in Friendsville, Illinois. She married Zacariah Jordan Anthony Oct. 23, 1907.
