Mary Veazy was born about 1705 (est. based on the birth date of her son, Joseph Chipman). She married first, Green and second, Samuel Chipman, second son of Samuel Chipman and Sarah Cobb. Samuel was born 6 Aug 1689 at Barnstable, Plymouth. He lived in Barnstable, inheriting his father's estate, business and offices; and died at Barnstable in 1753.

Samuel Chipman joined the church about 1720 and was chosen deacon 19 Aug 1725. He married, first, 8 Dec 1715, Abiah, daughter of John Hinkley, Jr. Abijah was born 24 Mar 1696, and died 15 Jul 1736. Samuel married second, 31 May 1739, Mary, widow of Green.
