• ****************************** Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Clement passed from this life into eternity on Tuesday afternoon August 5, 2014 in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years.

Mary Elizabeth was born in Pontotoc County, Mississippi on December 20, 1920 to her parents A.B. and Mary Helon (Rutledge) Harris.

Mary Elizabeth worked as a librarian most of her life. She has lived in Ada, Oklahoma close to her daughter for the last 4 years. Pontotoc County, Mississippi was her home for over 90 years. Mary Elizabeth was the volunteer Liberian at her church, First Methodist Church in Pontotoc. She was known for the fresh flower arrangements she made for the alter. Mary Elizabeth loved her church and church family dearly.

Along with her volunteering, Mary Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, bird watching and reading. Many hours were spent with her companions Mo-Mo and Pho-Phie her loving dogs.

Mary Elizabeth is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Robert Clement, one son: Robert Jr., one grandson: Robb III and one brother: Robert Harris.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 AM, Friday August 8, 2014 at First United Methodist Church of Ada, Oklahoma of which she was also a member.

A graveside service will be held in Pontotoc Mississippi at a later date.

The family has chosen Smith-Phillips Funeral Home with their services.
