Mary Griffin

The only early published genealogy that I am aware of that refers to Robert Griffin is Edith Austin Moore's "A Genealogy of the Descendants of Robert Austin", in which she states that Robert's wife name was Mary -- not Hannah.

If one can believe online sources, the immigrant Robert Griffin had by whichever wife the following children:
1. Benjamin born abt. 1639, married Sarah George
2. Hannah born 17 Dec 1642, married Thomas Nichols
3. Richard born abt. 1644, married Susannah Haight
4. Susannah baptized 13 May 1644, married John Spencer
5. Mary born 1649, married Thomas Fry.

When Mary Griffin was born about 1647, in Newport, Rhode Island, British Colonial America, her father, Robert Griffin, was 53 and her mother, Mary Price, was 21. She married John Andrews. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. She died about 12 March 1717, in Newport, Rhode Island, Rhode Island, British Colonial America, at the age of 71, and was buried in Newport, Rhode Island, Rhode Island, British Colonial America.
