Mary Cubberley was born August 22, 1728 in Burlington County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of James Cubberley and Mary Pearson. In 1750, she married Peter Groom. According to her mother, Mary Pearson's will, Peter and Mary had eight children: Peter, William, James, Sarah, Mary, Leah, Rachel, and David. Mary died about 1797 in Saratoga County.
