Mary M. (Baker) Hardesty, Worthington, passed away at age 83 on December 5, 1916. She died from Bronchial Pneumonia for which she had been treating seven days with Dr. Clifford of Worthington. Contributory Senility. She was a widow. Her father, Mr. Baker, was born in Kentucky. Hardesty in 1855, Parke County, Indiana. In 1860 they resided in Annapolis, Parke County, Indiana. In 1880 Mary and George are in Worthington, Indiana and he was a potter, probably working with his brother-in-law George Wills. George Wills was married to Mary (Baker) Hardesty's sister, Alice A. (Baker) Wills. George Wills came to Akron, Ohio from England as a child and learned the potter trade there. In 1900, Mary M. (Baker) Hardesty age 67 and George Hardesty age 69 are in Fairview (Deepwater) Henry County, Missouri. Mary's brother George S. Baker is with them. In 1914 Mary M. (Baker) Hardesty and her brother George Baker are in Worthington, Indiana again. She died December 5, 1916. Mary M. (Baker) Hardesty's husband George M. Hardesty was born in 1830 in Virginia. In 1850 (listed as age 18) he lived with his brother John, age 24, a blacksmith. George is listed as a farmer and also had attended school that year.
