About Mary Helene Henrietta Stark
The 1861 census has Mary H. H. living with her parents and three younger siblings at 30 Westbourne Park Terrace, Paddington, London (which became Porchester houses in 1912). She is stated to be seven years old and was born in Paddington. Less than four years later her father died in Australia and the fortunes of the family were irreversibly changed.
She contracted TB and died less than three years after her husband. She is buried in the same grave in St Sepulchre’s Cemetery, Oxford (Row 11, Section C, grave 48½). This is next to her mother's grave. At the time of her death her youngest child, Mark ('Nap') was only 11.
