Disproved Origins

Based on extensive research by Jerry Reed, we know that: Andrew Robeson b)abt 1654 in Scotland, d) Feb 19, 1718/19 Douglassville, PA, Buried at the Old Swedes Church Gloria Dei, Philadelphia, PA, who married abt 1690, Maria Helm b) 1667 d) 12 Nov 1716, PA ARE NOT her parents.

1st marriage

Mordecai Lincoln had 2 wives. Hannah Salter was the first wife. They married abt 1710 and she died in 1727.

2rd Wife Mary had the last 3 children. They were married in 1728.

2nd marriage

She did marry after Mordecai Lincoln's death per the following: Mary Robeson Lincoln married before, 17 January 1742, to Roger Rogers, and on that date gave a power of attorney to her, son-in-law,(who married Anne Lincoln, Mary's step-daughter), William Tallman of Amity, Pennsylvania, in which she is described as, "Mary Rodgers of Exeter...Sole Executrix of Mordecai Lincoln, my deceased husband." This power of attorney was to authorize William Tallman to dispose of the one hundred acres of land in New Jersey. (Philadelphia Deeds, Book D3, page 146)

Mary Robeson Lincoln married before, 17 January 1742, to Roger Rogers, and on that date gave a power of attorney to her, son-in-law,(who married Anne Lincoln, Mary's step-daughter), William Tallman of Amity, Pennsylvania, in which she is described as, "Mary Rodgers of Exeter...Sole Executrix of Mordecai Lincoln, my deceased husband." Roger Rogers died intestate and the administration was granted to Mary (Robeson Lincoln) Rogers, his widow, 22 December 1758. There is no evidence of their having children.

In June 1775, Mary (Robeson Lincoln) Rogers, was administrator on the estate of her son Thomas Lincoln, (Ancestry of Abraham Lincoln, page 70-72[1]
