1900 Census, widow living with son John Henry and family, mother of 8 children 4 living.
Mrs. Mary Ann Lowther, one of Cove's most respected pioneer ladies, departed this life on March 17, age 91, her demise resulting from a serious burn.
Three son and two daughters and a number of grandchildren together with a host of other fiends mourn their loss.
The funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. Burns of Crove and the interment was in the family cemetery in charge of Jesse Spurgeon, funeral director.
