Mrs. Burrell Sweat died last night at 9:30 o'clock, about ten hours after the death of her husband. She was about the same her husband, 80 years.
Mrs. Sweat had a severe attack of fever last summer, and while ill, it is said that she prayed that she and her husband might both [die at] the same time if it was the Lord's will. It seems that her prayer was answered.
The funeral of Judge and Mrs. Sweat will take place at Trinity church tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. The services will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. W. Arnold, assisted by Rev. W. H. Scruggs, of the Baptist church, Rev. R. A. Brown, of the Presbyterian church, and Rev. J. A. Harmon, of the First Methodist church.
The interment will be in Lott cemetery.
Judge Sweat and his wife were married fifty years ago and had many friends in Ware county. "Uncle Burrell" Sweat was an honest, upright man and the editor of the Herald was glad to number him among his best personal friends.
The same may be said of Mrs. Sweat. She was a good unassuming, Christian woman and was ever ready to help those in distress. These old and highly respected citizens will be greatly missed in the community. Peace to their ashes!
