He m., secondly, Mary, dau. of Sir Uchtred Macdowall of Garthland, issue five : — Alexr., k. at Newburn in 1640; Jean, m. John Houston of Drumastane, by whom she had a son Patrick ; a dau. m Alexr. Murdoch of Cumloden ; Agnes, m. George, son of John Gordon of Airds ; and Grizel.
He m., thirdly, Isobel Kerr, Lady Greenheid, who survived him. Sir Patrick d. in 1645, and was succeeded by his nephew, Patrick M'Kie, bailie in Minnigaf
