About Mary Malin
Mary, the first child of Valentine and Ann Wray, was born in Balleniskcrannel, Ireland in 1656. She married Thomas Conaway. They had three girls: Elizabeth, Ann and Sara. They emigrated to America with their family where Thomas died in 1689, leaving Mary a widow at 33 years of age. Four years later she married a widower, Randal Malin, who also had three children by his first wife, Elizabeth. They lived in Upper Providence, Chester County, Pennsylvania for the remainder of their lives and had four additional children, three of whom survived to adulthood: Hannah, Rachael, and Katherine.
