Mary or Mercy French b near 1646, Braintree, Norfolk Co., MA, daughter of John and Grace French. [2] She married 1st to Samuel Poole, probably in or before 1668. They had a daughter Mary / Alice Poole born 20 Nov. 1668. He died in 1669.

Mary (French) Poole married second to John Lamb and they had children born 1677 through 1686/87. She may have died sometime between the birth of her son, Samuel Lamb, 17 Feb. 1686/87 and Samuel's baptism on 17 Apr. 1687. In the baptism record, the mother's name was not listed whereas other entries of the time provided names of the father and mother. That MAY be when she died; however, it is not a fact.

Lydia, wife of John Lamb, was admitted to First Church, Braintree, MA in 1688. Note, Braintree was initially in Suffolk Co. Norfolk Co. was not formed until 1793.
