"David Morrow b. c1715- c1795 & wife Mary Morrow left the Baltimore area in early 1760's moving to the Fishing Creek area in present day Chester Co SC where in 1765 David obtained a 100ac land grant next to his brother "Old Samuel Morrow" d.1796 SC. Family lore is that David Morrow fought at Braddock's Defeat in 1755.
....An 1821 deed [shows] where Major Samuel Morrow 1760-1842 was actually a nephew of Old Samuel rather than a son." -- from Morrow boards at Ancestry.com, Bill Morrow, family researcher involved with their DNA project. He goes on:
David & Mary Morrow's children include:
"The entire David & Mary Morrow family above are listed on page 130 in Rev John Simpson's "Visitation Journal" 16 Jan 1775 living in the Fishing Creek [SC] area. Rev John Simpson was pastor of the Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church located near the York/Chester county line." {Note that Samuel Morrow states, below, that he "Joined the fishing-Creek Church under the care of the Revd John Simson in the fall of 1782" after his marriage to Janet Nelson.}
