Mary Brock Newkirk, her parents are UNKNOWN. She is NOT Penelope Newkirk (Brosard) sister. Which would have Abraham marrying his own Aunt. No sources have been found to show who Mary's parents were.
From Family genealogy performed in 1966
During the Revolutionary War, a band of British soldiers ordered Mary Ann Brock to prepare dinner for them, then ordered her to say grace. This is the one she offered.:
“O Lord of love, who reigns above;
Send down whittles (sp?)
To the throats of the Red Coats;
Who have come to eat my vietuals (sp).”
