MRS. JOHN T. NIXON, JUDGE'S WIDOW, DIES

Following prolonged illness, Mrs. Mary H. Nixon, widow of United States Judge John T. Nixon, died yesterday at her home, 224 West State Street. The funeral arrangements, in charge of Ivins & Taylor, have not been completed.

Mrs. Nixon was born in Bridgeton and was the last surviving child of the late Judge L.Q.C. Elmer, who was one of the most notable men of New Jersey, he having been a member of Congress, Attorney General of the state, United States District Attorney, trustee of Princeton University and president of the Society of the Cincinnati.

Mrs. Nixon moved to Trenton with her husband when he became United States District Court Judge. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Walter A. Brooks and Miss Caroline Nixon. Of an unassuming and quiet disposition, she was beloved by many friends.
