About Mary Park North
Mary Park Brockbank North was born of two stalwart pioneers, and grew up in a happy, healthy environment having five sisters and six brothers. Her education was obtained at the Big Cottonwood schools.
She was very active in Y.W.M.I.A. and the primary, and she sang in the ward choir.
In 1891 she married John Addison North and to them eight children were born. She served in the presidency of primary, and was president of the religion class in Winder Ward. She was active in Relief Society as a visiting teacher for thirty-six years; and was a charter member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
After her own family was raised, she gave loving care to thirty children from the Children's Service Society. She did this for ten years, and her husband still maintain their home on Highland Drive in Salt Lake City, Utah.
