About Mary Oakes-Rice

He married (first), December 14, 1686, Mehitable, daughter of John and Ann Rediat, who was born in Sudbury, Massachusetts, in 1646, and died without issue, November 25, 1702. He married (second), May 20, 1703, Mary, daughter of Adam and Hannah (Hayward) Halloway and widow of Jacob Farrar, who was killed in King Philip's war in 1676. She was born February 25, 1682, and died after 1733. She survived her second husband, and married (third), July 2, 1722, Thomas Rice, by whom she had two children.

Mary was the daughter of Adam Holloway & his wife Hannah (Hayward) Farrar, the widow of Jacob Farrar, who was killed by Indians on August 22, 1679. Mary was the 2nd wife of Nathaniel I. Oakes; they married on May 20, 1703 in Marlboro, MA. Their 8 children: Nathaniel Sr., William, Hannah, Mary, Anne, John B., George, Jonathan Oakes, Sr. After Nathaniel died, Mary married her 2nd husband, Thomas Rice, on July 2, 1722; they had 2 children together.
