Mary Pickering

Biography

Mary Stanyan, daughter of Anthony and Mary Stanyan of Hampton, N.H., was born about 1644 at Exeter, New Hampshire. She m. Jan. 10, 1665/6 to the 2nd John Pickering.

Their children were:

• 1. John Pickering, b. Dec. 1, 1666, d. c1715 (will written Mar. 21, 1714/15 and proved Sept. 17, 1715) in York, Me., m. Jul. 17, 1688 to Elizabeth Munden, daughter of Stephen and Deborah Munden.
• 2. Thomas Pickering, b. Apr. 6, 1670 or 1679, d. Jul. 3, 1671 or 1680.
• 3. (poss.) Daniel Pickering.
• 4. Mary Pickering, b. July 18, 1668, d. after 1727, m. John Plaisted, son of Roger Plaisted and Olive Colman and had 2 children, Elisha and James.
• 5. Deborah Pickering.
• 6. Sarah Pickering, b. Feb. 15, 1671/72, d. young.
• 7. Sarah Pickering, b. Jan. 3, 1673/74, d. by 1691 (poss. 1673).
• 8. (poss.) Thomas Pickering, b. Apr. 6, 1679, d. 1680
