NOTES: April 1789 - Sent from Lincoln Gaol to london for embarkation on the 'Lady Juliana' transport. An administrative error lists her as being ordered on board the 'Neptune' Sent to Norfolk Island. The first record of her presence in the colony shows her being issued with a pig on Norfolk Island in February 1791. She is not listed in the Island's victualling books under the name of Mary Thompson. It is probable that she used an alias or alternative name that can no longer be traced to her.
July 1791 - Mary and her partner were listed as farming a small piece of land near Sydney Town, Norfolk Island's main settlement September 1792 - Left Norfolk Island for Port Jackson on the 'Atlantic'. Samuel sailed with her
31 October 1812 - Mary's husband had a notice printed in the Sydney Gazette in which he stated that she had "eloped from his house without any just cause or provocation" and he disclaimed responsibility for her debts
