Mary Mudgett was born April 30, 1667, at Salisbury, Massachusetts, the daughter of Thomas Mudgett and Sarah (Clement) Mudgett. [1] About 1687, Mary married John Quimby, son of Robert and Mary Quimby. Children of Mary and John are:

John Quimby, born July 8, 1688, at Salisbury, Massachusetts [2] married Mary Bean, daughter of Daniel Bean and Mary (Fifield) Bean on June 20, 1730, at Exeter, New Hampshire, and lived at Kingston, New Hampshire

Mary died in 1710, very likely at the birth of her youngest child. On May 1, 1713, at Watertown, Massachusetts, John married Elizabeth, daughter of Samuel Hyde or Hides, of Newton. John died at Newton, in 1717, and administration was granted to his widow, Elizabeth on July 9, 1717.

Beginning on page 86 Jonathan Quimby, born June 12, 1704 is the son of John Quimby and Mary (Bean) Quimby. He was born while his grand-mother, Mary (Mudgett) Quimby was still having children and is sometimes erroneously listed as one of her children. He is the father of James Quimby, born 1736 and Jonathan Quimby, born 1741 [10]
