Mary was the second wife of Lt. John Spaulding, Sr. They were married in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts on November 18th, 1700.

Mary had been married at least twice before. First to John Cotton (abt 1665) and second to Samuel Fletcher (in 1684).. The "Massachusetts Town Marriage Records" indicates that John Spauldyng married Widow Mary Fletcher. Mary's parents were Thomas Stow and Mary Griggs.
