Biography ==Thomas Stephens, husbandman of Taunton, and Mary his wife sold eight acres of land in Taunton on the Taunton Great River east of the meeting house to Benjamin Shaw of Taunton, carpenter, on 18 July 1706, "Said Eight acres of land was by mr Robert Sanderson formerly of Boston Deceased in and by his last will and Testamt given unto Mary Stephens the now wife of the said Thomas Stephens & to her Brother Benjamin Caswell after the decease of their father Thomas Caswell of said Taunton and now by these presents the said Thomas Stephens & Mary Stephens Do give . . . all that in it was given to said Mary Stephens & her brother Benjamin Caswell by said mr Robert Sanderson (their Honrd great Grandfather Deceased) after the decease of their father Thomas Caswell aforesaid". . . To have and to hold after the decease of their said honoured father, Thomas Caswell, et cetera. . .
