About Mary Grace Trindle
Mary Grace Mannell (Manuel) was my Great Great Grandmother who was born September 13th, 1842. Her parents names were William & Eliza Mannell (Manuel).
Mary was born at Black Creek, Buwarra, Clifden, Hinton, Morpeth, Maitland, NSW. (Still trying to work out why so many names).
She married John Thomas Trindle on April 11, 1861 at New England, NSW. Mary & John had 7 children, their names were:
John Thomas
Hannah
Emily
Ann Louisa
Fanny
Frances Ernest Augustus
Ada Grace (my Great Grandmother)
Mary passed away on February 15th, 1921 in Blackall, Queensland and is buried at the Blackall Cementery.
This extract is from an email sent to me by Dale at the Blackall Visitors Information Center:
Hi Kerry I have confirmed that both John Trindle and Mary Grace
Trindle are buried in the Church of England section of the Blackall
cemetery. Mary died aged 79 on 15.2.21. When I get back to Blackall I will
attempt to locate their graves and photograph them. I say attempt because
this part of the cemetery has fallen into a sorry state and identification
of some graves is very difficult if not impossible. However if there is
Headstones (many of the old graves did not have headstones) then we have a
fair chance of finding them. John (grave no 931) died of senility aged 81
and Mary died of carcinoma. Will contact you when I have further
information. Regards Dale.
Definition of Carcinoma:
A carcinoma is a malignant (cancerous) growth that arises from the epithelium (the covering of internal and external surfaces of the body, including the lining of vessels and other small cavities). This includes the skin and lining of the organs such as breast, prostate, lung, stomach or bowel.
Definition of Senility:
• Old age.
• The mental and physical deterioration associated with aging. We call this today, Alzheimer/Dementia
