Mary Hughes was born on March 11, 1724 in Cumberland, Virginia.[1] Her parents were Robert and Martha Morton Hughes.[1]
She married firstly Robert Walton.[1]They had four children:

She married secondly John Winfrey in Cumberland, Virginia on April 27, 1752.[1]
