Mary Jane Barton was born on c. 1662 in Prince Charles County, Maryland, United States to Capt. William Barton, Jr. and Ann Smoot Barton. Mary Jane married Lt. Thomas Warren on Jun 13, 1688 in Frailty, Charles County, Maryland, United States and had 4 children: Barton Foliet Warren, Elizabeth Warren, Sara Warren, and Thomas Warren, Jr. She passed away AFTER 1717 in Maryland, United States.

Note: Mary Barton Warren had the nickname Mary "Of Strife". I wanted to know where that came from. In my research, I found the family Website of Gerry Hill, "Georgia Roots", there I found a Will dated May 13,1688, it reads.....conveyed to Mary and husband Thomas Warren, planter land near Zachia Swamp called Strife. Book A B 3pgs 119-120 Charles Co Md made 5 Sep 1717 proved or probated 22 Sep 1717.

Mary Jane Barton Warren is my 8th great grandmother.
