~• from a close reading of Settle MM marriages with the witness names attached, it seems clear that it is doubtful that Mary Wildman née Atkinson ever travelled to America. If so, is was after she and her names appeared as a witness May 19th, 1698 at Settle
In Aug 1700 Mary appears to be still in Yorkshire, Matthew reported dead, and we suppose this is where her son William had been born.
Mary, on her marriage doc is said to have been of Kirkby, in (Maulindale?) Yorkshire
