He married Unknown. She died Unknown.

According to Moravian missionaries, John Anthony Foreman, (II) (1744-1817), perhaps the son of this first John Anthony Foreman, was born and reared not far from Philadelphia on the Schuylkill River.

According to the second Anthony Foreman’s son Rev. Stephen U-Tse-Lv-Nv-Hi Foreman, his father had a sister Mary Fordman.

• MARY FOREMAN in Stephen Foreman's notes to the Princeton Seminary Alumni he states that "my Father was said to be a Scotchman, originally from Philadelphia, that he left school or college with other young men about the commencement of the Revolutionary War and came among the Cherokees. His oldest son by his first wife among the Cherokees, was named John, who was born about the year 1780. I am the only son or child living of my Father's, and I am his son by his second wife.My father died October 17th, 1817 in what is now East Tennessee. My Father told Mother he had a sister names Polly or Mary, living in Philadelphia or Pennsylvania, who was married to a man named Wolfe.The question is, are there any city records to show any of these things and will you make, if you please, some inquiries about these things and let me know at your earliest convenience?"Notes from Stephen Foreman 12/8/1881
• A marriage record on the internet at ancestry.com shows a Mary FORDMAN married a Henry WOLFE on December 13, 1778 at the Swedes' Church (Gloria Dei.), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.Volume I, Record of Pennsylvania Marriages Prior to 1810.I contacted the church and there is no further information recorded or listed on the records.This could be John's sister.10/1998

I know he had two children John Anthony Foreman and Mary 'Polly' Foreman. John Anthony Foreman went to Tennessee abt 1778 and was a trader among the Cherokee Indians, married a Full Blood Cherokee woman and lived in Tennessee until his death in 1817. One of John Anthony Foreman's children stated that John had a sister named Mary or Polly that was married to a Wolfe in the Philadelphia area, asked if someone would look for her. This was in 1863 that Rev. Stephen Foreman made this request to the Princeton Theological Seminary, where he was a graduate. I found a marriage record in Volume 1, Marriage Record of the Swedes' Church for Dec. 13, 1778 of FORDMAN, Mary and WOLFE, Henry. Trying to find John Anthony's sister and family. The Foreman family was of Scotish descent. Thank you for your time.
