Moremon Lawson, b. ca 1745 in Bedford Co., VA, served in Rev. War from Henry Co., VA. After the war lived in Stokes Co., NC; Lee Co., Hawkins & Hancock Co., TN & Montgomery Co., VA. He m. Elvira Collins, ca 1803 in Lee
Co., VA. Moreman d. 16 Sep 1842 in Hawkins Co., TN (part now Hancock Co.). His widow listed as children: Moremon, Peter & Phoebe.

Among the descendants, William gives the children of Moremon and Elvira as:

Moreman, b. 8 May 1818, Hawkins Co., TN; d. 12 Jul 1905, Indian Ridge,
Hancock Co., TN. Married 1 Martha Mullins, 2 Elizabeth, 3 -?-. 9 children.

Peter, b. 1811, Lee Co., VA. m. Isa Mae Lawson. 4 children.

Phoebe Ellen, b. 1819, Lee Co., VA. Married George Miser, who had married
first Prudence Mullins (mother of 4 children). Phoebe and George were
parents of Wilson Miser, ancesor of writer's late wife.

William Stokely, b. 20 Mar 1820, Hawkins Co., TN. Married Matilda Ashe, b.

25 Mar 1820. 12 children, namely: William, Thomas, Amos G., Joseph, Daniel,
John, Betty, Magaret, twins Mary and Julia, David, Enoch.==
