(Kruska, Kruszka) He was caught in the gearing of a limestone crushing machine at the Calumet and Hecla Mine, December 13, 1887, Kruszka's death was cruel, according to the newspaper "Had his legs torn from his body, beheaded, and disemboweled" IN another newspaper, It quotes that his burial was on the 15th of December, I have not yet located a death record for him.

1887 Dec 15 Thursday, Matthias Kruska, aged about 40 years, was killed Tuesday morning by being caught in the gearing and killed. He leaves a wife and 5 children. Services were at the Polish Catholic church.
