Mathias Weaver was a member of the Culpeper 'Minutemen' Militia in 1756 and 1781 according to Militia Rosters in Hening's Statutes at Large. His written will dated 11 Dec 1819, and probated in Culpeper Co. VA on Feb. 19, 1821. He mentions his wife Elizabeth; sons Daniel, Ambrose and Mathias; daughters Mary Carpenter, Elizabeth Thom, Catherin Chelf, Margaret Yager, and Frances Burk. He appoints his sons Ambrose and Mathias as executors.
