Mattie A. Posey

21 Dec 1964: Mrs. Mattie A. Posey, 32 N. Lincoln St., Cleona, died Saturday afternoon at Cedar Haven Hospital following of several years duration. She was 84. The widow of Thomas C. Posey, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary E. Umberger Spancake. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church, Cleona. Surviving is a son, Thomas, Annville; a granddaughter, Lucille H. Posey, at home, and three grandsons, Richard, Harold and Earl. Also surviving are five great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Annie Huey, Annville, and a brother, Joseph Spancake, Lebanon. [Lebanon Daily News]

Son, Grandsons Bearers For Mrs. Mattie Posey

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie A. Posey, nee Spancake, 32 N. Lincoln St., Cletfha, widow of Thomas C. Posey, were held this afternoon from the Rohland Parlors.

The Rev. Harry E. Aughinbaugh, pastor of the Immanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church, officiated. Interment

took place at the Ebenezer Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Thomas Posey, son of the deceased and Earl, Robert and Harold Posey, grandsons.
