"wife of Reuben Ellis, was born in Sunderland, May 3rd, 1722, and died in Ashfield, Dec. 2nd, 1804, in the 83d year of her age. Her parents, Richard and Elizabeth Scott, were among the early settlers in Sunderland. She was said to have been a good and Christian woman. It is probable that both she and her husband Reuben were members of the Baptist Church. She was buried beside her husband in the Ellis neighborhood burying ground" [now called "Beldingville Cemetery", located in Ashfield, Mass] (E. R. Ellis, M.
