About Menachem Mendel Horenstein
GEDCOM Note
His residence is speculation based on his name appearing on the list of shareholders of the Jewish Colonial Trust (ca. 1900).
According to his ggnephew (Ittai Hershman), he survived WWII in the Jewish Hospital in Berlin. (See the book Refuge in Hell by Daniel Silver.)
After the war, he emigrated to Buenos Aires where his son Henio (formally Samuel) Hornstein had been living since before the war. Mendel died there in 1953 and is buried in the Tablada cemetery.
