Mercy Godfrey was born circa 1714. She was the daughter of Jonathan Godfrey and Mercy Mayo.

Her married name was Burgess.

Marriage banns for Mercy Godfrey and Elkanah Rogers were published on 25 June 1748 at Eastham and Harwich. Her married name was Rogers.

Mercy Godfrey died after 7 March 1765; (still living).

A descendant of Pilgrim William BREWSTER.

She m. (1) int. Yarmouth, 1734/35 Ebenezer BURGESS.
