MICHAEL BRESKA, OLDEST MEMBER OF ST. STANISLAUS PARISH, DIES TODAY; 95 Living Descendants. Michael Breska, pioneer resident of Winona, died this morning at 1:30 o'clock after a very brief illness caused by the infirmities to old age. He was 94 years old, and resided at 673 East Eighth Street, the home of his daughter, Mrs. Julia Kujak. One of the oldest residents of the city, Michael Breska leaves to survive him ninety-five descendants in a line of four generations. Included in this group are 30 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, one son and four daughters. The son is August Breska, and the daughters are Mrs. Julia Kujak, Mrs. Pauline Kuyack, Mrs. Anna Glowacki and Mrs. Frank Ostrowaski. Born in Poland on September 29, 1829, Michael Breska came to this country when a young man and settled in Winona. His occupation for many years was that of gardener. He has been retired from active work for 15 years or more. Some twenty years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Breska celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, and three years later Mrs. Breska died. Michael Breska was the oldest member of St. Stanislaus Catholic church, having been affiliated with this parish since coming to Winona. Before him Frank Gostoniski, who died recently at the age of 95, was the senior member of the parish. Rt. Rev. Father J. W. J. Pacholski will officiate at the funeral services at St. Stanislalus church on Saturday morning at 9 o'clock. interment will be made at St. Mary's cemetery.

Winona Republican-Herald May 9, 1925 MICHAEL BRESKA BURIED, Funeral services Breska, aged 94 years, were held this morning at 8:30 from the home of his daughter, Mrs Julia Kujak, 672 East Eighth Street, and at 9 o'clock from St. Stanislaus church. Rt. Rev. Fr. J. W. J. Pacholski officiated and interment was made at St. Mary's Cemetery. The Pall bearers, all grandsons of the decesed, were: Alex Breska, Harry Kujak, John Kujack, Frank Kuyack, Joseph Glowacki, Michael Glowacki.
