Murdock "Beag" (Donald "Piper") MacNeil settled in Washabuck Bridge. He married, in Barra, Nellie Robertson, daughter of Robertson of the Kirk Sessions of Barra, and their family: Hector, John, Ann, Michael, Mary, Peggy, Lucy, and Sarah. 268
Michael (Murdock "Beag"), a blacksmith, lived in lona. He married Jane MacIntyre, Big Pond and had a son, a merchant at Grand Narrows, who married Josephine (Norman) MacNeil, Arichat. 270

Donald McNeil (John the Piper) and his descendents. This Donald was a brother of Neil Geal. He came to this country in 1817. He had a family of seven sons, and one daughter, the wife of Murdock McKenzie (Hector).
Michael (Gobha) settled at Iona, and married Jane Mclntyre, of Big Pond, a daughter of Iain Gobha.
Their son Rory was merchant at Grand Narrows, and married to Josephine C. McNeil, daughter of Norman McNeil (Malcolm), of Arichat. No issue.
Malcolm was a blacksmith.
Sarah and Catherine were telegraph operators.
