Michael Patrick Mahoney II, 46, Grand Rapids, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.

He was born Aug. 20, 1957, to Frank and Marion (Turner) Mahoney, Burlingame, Calif. He grew up and attended school in San Bruno, Calif. In 1992, he moved to Minnesota and made his home in Grand Rapids. For the past 10 years, he had worked as a truck driver for Figgins Transport and Norbon Oil in Grand Rapids. A loving husband and father, he spent all of his free time with his family and friends. He was a very caring and thoughtful person always putting others first in his life.

He is survived by his wife, Teri; seven sons, Sean (Shannell) Fowler, Martinez, Calif., Jeff (Lorraine) Fowler, Placerville, Calif., Michael Hoffman, Mike Mahoney III, Vinnie Mahoney, James Mahoney and Dustin Mahoney, all of Grand Rapids; two sisters, Maureen (Bill) Gilmartin and Suzanne (Alan Hamel) Somers, both of California; and one brother, Dan (Marty) Mahoney, California.

Burial: Itasca Calvary Cemetery

Michael was actress Suzanne Somers' younger brother. I had no idea as he delivered my fuel oil, he was her brother! Not until after he passed away. Rest in peace Mike!
