Suzanne Somers

Biography

Suzanne Somers was an American actor, author, singer, businessperson, and health spokesperson. She is best known for starring as Chrissy on Three’s Company and Carol on Step by Step, both sitcoms.

She was the daughter of Marion Elizabeth, a medical secretary, and Francis Stanislaus "Frank" Mahoney, a laborer and gardener. She was of at least seven-eighths Irish ancestry, with relatively recent immigrants.

Somers was married to Canadian-born entertainer, producer, and television host Alan Hamel. She had a son with her former husband Bruce Somers. Her granddaughters include actor Camelia Somers and Daisy Hamel-Buffa of the band DAISY. (Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0)
