Miemie Frost (1947 – 2019)
Brief overview:
Miemie (72), A small scale farmer from Bethlehem was attacked and murdered on Saturday 7th September. Her body was found in a cemetery on Saturday morning after an hour-long search. The elderly widow lived alone on a farm outside the town. She also rented some of the land on the farm.
According to Isoldé Laesecke, AfriForum's branch chairman in Bethlehem, Frost's bakkie was spotted in the town around 2:00 this morning and was immediately rushed to the farm, which is located about 30 km out on the Kaallaagte road.
Frost's firearm and a flashlight were found in a pigsty on the farm. According to Laesecke, there was no blood and there were no signs of a fight in the farmhouse. However, there was also no sign of Frost and a large-scale search was immediately launched. Frost's body was found at Utopia Cemetery on the outskirts of the town at about 10am. She allegedly sustained several head wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

- A 40-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the incident, Const. Police spokesperson Puleng Lebakeng confirmed the incident and said the suspect had previously worked on the farm. He is charged with murder and will appear in court soon.
