Mike A. Bumgarner
Mike Alfred Bumgarner, 73, died at his home, Route 3, at 4:30 a.m. Friday.
Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Irene Wilson Cincinnati Ohio, Mrs. Ruby Bond, War, WV, Miss Lillie Bumgarner, Mrs. Marie Lawson and Mrs. Velvie Gilbert, Kingsport; three sons, M.C. Bumgarner, Richlands, Va., Carl Bumgarner and Novel Bumgarner, both of Oakwood, Va.; one brother, Slm Bumgarner; Phillips, Ky. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren.
The body will be removed from Huff funeral Home to the home, Route 3, Saturday at 3 p.m. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
per Mary Frances Sizemore Dec 11, 2008 - Mike Bumgarner died from uremic poisoning coming from his kidneys. Then it went to his brain. Someone was always with him and he had to be tied to the bed. When he died his hair was still jet black with only 3 or 4 gray hairs.
She also remembered when he was younger that no one messed with Mike Bumgarner. And that he had bushy black eye brows.
