BIRTHDAY DINNER HONORS TWO KINGSPORT WOMEN
Mrs. L.S. Gragg, and Mrs. Velvie Gilbert were honored with a birthday dinner recently at the home of Mrs. Gragg, with Miss Clara Bowlin, Miss Jewel Gilbert and Miss Lovie Gragg as hostesses.
The house was decorated throughout with spring flowers, with the color scheme of pink and white being used.
Contests were the feature of entertainment. Prizes were won by Mrs. James Johnson and Charlie Gragg.
The honorees were the recipients of many gifts.

When I was about 6 years old (1959 ish) we lived in Atlanta and Granny came and stayed with us. I can remember her watching her soaps while she was ironing. I also remember her red fingernails and cigarette. I loved my granny and still miss her.
